About AHA Outdoor Systems
We have been building campers and trailers in Pretoria since 2003, for people who would rather not have to buy a second one a few years later. This is who we are, who builds our campers, and what we do differently.
Building campers in Pretoria since 2003
AHA Outdoor Systems is a South African bakkie camper and trailer manufacturer. Dawie Maas founded it on 1 March 2003, after coming back from three weeks in Botswana and Namibia where he experienced several frustrations.
He searched the South African market for a solution, but found that nothing on the market solved the frustrations he had. So he designed his own.
Thousands of Transformers later he still comes to work every day, and the business is still run by the family that started it.
Every unit is built to order at our factory in Silvertondale, fitted to one customer's vehicle. There are no pre-built units standing in a yard waiting for a buyer. Most of the units built in that first year are still on the road.

What we do differently
Most campers in this category arrive preconfigured. Solar panel, battery, fridge, awning, geyser, all decided before you walked in and all priced in whether you need them or not.
We start with a base unit that already works, and you add what your own camping style actually calls for. Dawie will tell you what to leave out during a demo.
In more than twenty years and thousands of campers, fewer than five structural warranty claims have been submitted. That is why the Transformer's warranty is for your entire life.
In the Office
These people run the office: the admin, the enquiries, the bookings, the demos, the expos, and product design. Between them they have answered all of the questions you want to ask, many times over.
