Like any manufactured product, the AHA Camper may face occasional issues. What sets us apart is how we deal with them — openly, honestly, and with long-term solutions. Out of more than 2,000 units built, only a handful of customers have experienced problems, and every case was resolved. Here are the main ones we’ve seen:
Water Leaks on Early AHA-45 Models
Some early AHA-45 Campers experienced water leaks in camping mode, especially when the front and back canvas corners were not properly attached to the Velcro strips. In these cases, we coached clients and demonstrated the correct fitting.
To prevent heavy rainfall issues, every AHA Camper also comes with a standard raincoat that covers the entire unit, keeping water from seeping in.
Dust Entry on Dirt Roads
Only a very small number of customers reported dust issues — mostly due to incorrect use. The key is to create positive pressure inside the camper while driving.
- On early AHA-45s with sliding windows, partially opening the front window on dusty roads solved the issue.
- Later models were fitted with a dust scoop. When opened on dirt roads, it creates positive pressure inside the unit, keeping dust out. This simple fix resolved the problem completely.
Electrical Issues on Older Models
Some of the 2003–2013 AHA-45 units were fitted with older HCDP electrical boxes, which occasionally caused problems. We now recommend upgrading to modern individual components, which are more reliable and easier to service. Our factory can assist with these upgrades.
